Paste Design System
This project involved contributing to an open-source design system used to power Twilio’s web applications. The system was built with a strong emphasis on accessibility, ensuring compliance with government and EU standards while enabling teams to create consistent, high-quality user interfaces. Individual components, as well as bundled packages, were published to NPM, making them easily consumable across internal and external projects.
Working closely with design teams, they iterated on UI components to deliver intuitive and inclusive user experiences. They also contributed to maintaining and evolving the documentation site, which served as a central resource for component usage, specifications, and best practices. To enhance discoverability, the documentation platform integrated OpenAI-powered search, leveraging vector-based indexing across documentation pages and GitHub discussions. This enabled a more intelligent search experience, complemented by an interactive chat interface to help users quickly find relevant information.
